Zen Toilets
Yesterday Gem and I marked the 5 years since we first met, by eating fancy foods and going to the Yeats exhibition at the National Library.
Whilst I was really impressed by the exhibition itself I was blown away by the toileting facilities. They are a step back to a time when lavatories were solidly constructed places, that one could enjoy a little longer than the urine splattered, semi-partitioned, telephone boxes that pass for toilets these days.
I have been inspired by these toilets. I would encourage everyone to reconsider the design of their crapper. We should not be rushing our movements because they are cramped and smelly, rather we should be relaxing in the moment of our movement.

Great seat in the picture. You have little time or seats in toilets to relax after a dump. The toilet seat itself can be a little too airy after an extraction - but after the clean up one can envisage sitting and relaxing on a cushioned seat and read 'the big issue'.
At lunch time today near Portsmouth UK I sat by the sea I ate my lunch and watched the water lapping on the shore - i didn't read, listen to a personal radio/ipod - I just sat there thinking in the fantastic sun in February! Global warming will one day put this all under water....oh well I'll still be able to enjoy a good shit somewhere....Perhaps I'll have a house on stilts...
