His 'n' Hers

Two days ago, Gemma agreed to marry me. I am not noted for my great communication skills so it was always going to be difficult - but thankfully Gem has known me long enough to work out what the grunts and gurning actually meant.

It is something of a U-turn I´ll admit. Both of us still feel the great institution to befairly unneccessary for the likes of us heathens. Nowadays marriage seems more of an excuse to waggle your mickey at people (you have to pity the burning bum holes of those South African miners who gamely deliver those essential rocks to make whitey´s big day so special). However there are some positives to be had from this wedding business: The tax man isn´t so greedy, the future kids don´t get called bastard in the playground, we both get to wear nice dresses and dance robot for the first dance, the gift list will stipulate electronic gadgets, camping gear and flower presses (something for the wife) ....oh and the big one that we get to bring together our friends and family and have a big sing song.
