Hero Wallace

Yesterday Gem and I spent our bank holiday watching 'Heroes'. It's an American TV series about a group of people with super powers who are destined to meet and 'save the world' - which actually means saving New Yawk from a bomb - and who says the yanks are full of themselves.

Anyway something amazing happened - Gem got more hooked on the show than I did. Normally it's me that obsesses about a TV program to the extent that I swallow it whole and shit out it's innards an hour later. However yesterday she joined me and together we became a new Hero - one that was able to watch 10 episodes of Heroes in a single sitting. Each episode is roughly 50 mins long - so you do the maths. I'm really proud of her.

This is a big step for her to take but hopefully it means that she will come over to the stale side and together we will spend more time together watching mindless shite - rather than talking or listening to music, or perish the thought..reading.

Perspective is a great thing to have, as is the moral high ground.
